Hello everyone! I'm Kyla, your Vice President of Student Life and Deputy President, or as I like to call myself, the "fun one." My role revolves around organizing events, charity fundraising, volunteering, and activism.

A little bit about me: I hail from Cavan, but I'm a passionate Mayo supporter (Mayo4Sam). I grew up on a farm in a rural area, so living in a town was a new experience for me, as it might be for many students. I graduated with a degree in Media and Sociology, starting my studies during the Covid pandemic.

As the organizer of many nighttime and some daytime events at our bar, I'm always open to hearing your ideas. It's your year and your Union, so please feel free to share any suggestions. Additionally, I work on the activism and volunteering initiatives on campus, ensuring there are opportunities for students to engage with their community. Keep an eye out on our social media platforms (Maynooth_su) for updates.

If I were to give you one piece of advice, it would be to get involved! In my first year, I became an academic representative, and now I find myself in this role. Initially, I focused more on educational representation, but I discovered that Student Life aligns better with my passion. MSU has a lot to offer you, including a bar, venue, Londis, information centre, and numerous opportunities for involvement. So why not come and check us out? There are also options to join clubs and societies. If there isn't one for your interest, you can even start your own!
